Tip of the Day - Food-themed gift baskets

Gift baskets brimming with food and kitchen goodies look gorgeous in store windows, but you don't have to splurge to bestow your friends with these lovely gifts. Make your own instead!

Food-themed baskets make great gifts. Add some tissue paper, confetti, and a couple of candy canes for decoration, then try out these foodie themes:

1. Tea basket -- fill with bags of loose tea, a loose tea press, a guide to teas

2. S'mores basket -- fill with different flavored marshmallows, graham crackers and various gourmet chocolate bars, as well as some clean sticks for roasting

3. Snow basket -- fill with all white goodies like coconut cookies, yogurt covered raisins or pretzels, white chocolate truffles

4. Breakfast basket -- fill with syrups, pancake and waffle mixes, a spatula, jams, or a bag of ground coffee

5. Flashback basket -- fill with old-fashioned food items and candies like licorice, taffies, candy buttons, or other childhood favorites
