Last February, Chef Robert Irvine was removed from his Food Network show, Dinner: Impossible, after it came to light that he had falsified his resume to make his work experience more impressive. Chef Michael Symon was brought in to replace Irvine on the show and the scandal quietly faded away. Now, in a surprising move, the Food Network has announced that they plan on bringing Irvine back to the show and will be filming six new episodes featured him that will begin airing in March 2009. He says of his return, "I am very excited to continue taping more episodes of 'Dinner: Impossible. I am thrilled to further my relationship with the network and embark on more challenging episodes of this popular series."

It's probably because Michael Symon sucks, he doesn't really embrace the challenges like Robert Irvine does, hence why on Iron Chef very few people ever wanted to even battle against the guy, he doesn't really measure up to the other chefs, Food Network made a mistake adding a 'new iron chef' so they compromised by givin him Dinner Impossible, which he still managed to screw up so bad that they had to bring Robert back.

I agree. Symon sucks. He sucks as Iron chef too. I just don't see the passion in his cooking or that he even has original ideas. I'm glad they're bringing Irvine back.

YAY !!!!!!!
FogleTusch should've punished that idiot Mark Summers for not researching Irvine's resume ... and NOT punish the viewers ...
John Besh or Aaron Sanchez should've won "Next Iron Chef" ... Not Michael Symon ...
Symon looks too much like some sleazy mechanic ... esp with his work shirt and that piece of carpet on his chin ... Plus, his souz chefs aren't exactly the look one would hope to see in a kitchen ... LOL Symon's voice is beyond grating ...
I lost any & all respect for the network, Summers & Symon with the "Kosher Seder Supper for Passover" episode ... esp when Idiot Jed ripped open his shirt & showed his pig tattoo to the Rabbi ... Geez, ya got any tact boy?? It was just too painful to watch and the idiots re-aired it last night ...
At least with Robert Irvine, he would explain the different cuisines to the viewers ... so we got an idea of what we'd see and why ...
Robert may have stretched the truth on his resume ... But, his knowledge & cooking chops backed him up on getting the job done ...
There was an article earlier this year in one of the Seattle newspapers about the wedding reception that Robert / D:I did in Kirkland, WA ... for the bride who's father was very sick ... Even though Robert & the wedding coordinator lady had some issues, everybody agreed it was a great experience and enjoyed working with Robert & the D:I crew ...

Another agreement on Symon. I couldn't believe it when they gave him Iron Chef. He was the worst of the lot. Like that Fieri idiot.

I'm happy to hear this. When Irvine's new episodes start, I'll add the D:I season pass back onto my TiVo.

Thank God, I had no idea what had happened with the show, I just knew that Robert Irvine made that show, it was truly his "show", no disrespect to Michael Symon, it's just not his thing, it's Roberts!
