(New York) The dessert truck drove around on a city-wide tour this week to promote two new desserts infused with Pomegranate Liqueur. The media was asked to come to a location and vote which one they enjoyed the most. After all the votes are counted, the winner will have a new spot on the Dessert Truck's menu for the month of November (National Pomegranate Month).

The verdict: Two desserts were offered (pictured above). One, a chocolate truffle lollipop made with the liqueur and rolled around in purple luster dust, the second, a pomegranate macaron. I am a chocolate lover by nature, but in this case, the chocolate over-powered the liqueur (one co-worker even mentioned that it tasted more like cherry). While for some this maybe isn't such a bad thing- but, to be fair, this will be used for National Pomegranate Month, so the dessert showcased should reflect that. With that said, I choose the macaron with its perfect texture.
Our own office taste-off- Chocolate Lollipop: 2 Macaron: 4
While this seemed more a gimmick than an actual taste-off, we were more than happy to participate. But please Dessert Truck, don't take down any of your regular items for either one of these (especially your Bread Pudding with the Bacon Creme Anglaise)!
