Over the weekend, I drove out to Lancaster County with a friend who grew up in the area. We went to an amazing discount drug store, multiple grocery stores to search for canning jars (they are really hard to find in the big city) and and raided her mother's herb garden. I packed a gallon size bag with oregano, thyme, parsley, lemon verbena, sage and a big bunch of rosemary, much like what you see in the picture above. I used some in a pot of soup I made last night, and the rest I'll hand in my kitchen and dry for later use.

Did you go to Good's Store? (next to Shady Maple) My mom always found canning supplies there! Hope you enjoyed Lancaster County; what a beautiful weekend you had!
