You could be the Next Food Network Star!

Starting this Friday, October 3rd, Food Network will be holding tryouts for the next season of The Next Food Network Star. They'll be auditioning people in the flesh over the next four weeks in Washington, D.C., New York, Los Angeles, Charleston, S.C., Portland, OR and Philadelphia. For those of you who don't live in one of the cities they'll be visiting, you can also apply on online by filling out the application form and uploading a short video, stating why you want to be TNFNS.

10-01-2008 @12:28PM Bernie B said... This show will continue to fail as the people they bring in really offer nothing new culinary-wise to TFN. They really need to find people with skills outside of French/Italian/American/Tex-Mex cooking. Those ethnic cuisines are already overdone on cable.

JAG was the closest thing they had to something fresh and that was completely mucked up.

10-02-2008 @8:02PM Barry Fou said... This is the worst reality show ever. The tasks that they give the contestants and the humiliation to which they submit them are outrageous. With the exception of Iron Chef, FN shows are all subject to immense preparation and planning. There is nothing spontaneous about them, nor do any of the existing "stars" have to operate under anywhere near the pressure of TNFNS. It's a joke. At least on American Idol, it's true that at some point you do have to stand up and sing.
