In an ideal world, everyone would always know what they want to have for dinner in enough time to pick up all the ingredients and prep them. Ingredients would be gathered, meat would be thawed. Most times, however, that just doesn't happen. You might not decide what to eat until 5 or 6 at night. Maybe you were planning to go out, but plans were canceled last minute. There's a million reasons for not being prepared.
Luckily, at the very least, you can have some chicken. Buy some chicken breasts, wrap each in some saran wrap or wax paper, and freeze them in a zip lock bag. When a craving for chicken hits, take a piece out, unwrap it, and put it on a piece of foil while you heat your oven to 200 degrees. When it reaches 200, turn off the heat, throw the chicken and foil in the oven, and wait twenty minutes. This will thaw your chicken without cooking it, or creating those tough, over-cooked bits that you get from microwave defrosting.
Note: Toaster ovens don't retain heat as well as regular ovens, and will most likely leave you with a frozen piece of chicken after 20 minutes.
