Tip of the Day: Microwave a lemon and double its juices

It's no secret that lemons instantly enhance the flavor of many foods. How many lemons do you cut up when squeezing them over your meal?

Meyer lemonsMinimize the number of lemons by getting the most out of each one. If you microwave a lemon for just 15 seconds, you will double the juice you get before squeezing. So, if you normally use one lemon, you'll just need one half of that.

Freshly squeezed lemon juice is the perfect item to heighten the taste of boiled artichokes, chicken, fish, and several other dishes. Microwaving lemons is an efficient way to get the most out of them. If you're just going to use a half of a lemon, place the other half in a sealed jar of water. This will also produce twice the juice.
