When most people think about macaroni and cheese, images of ultimate comfort spring to mind. Ideally, mac and cheese is a dish that is soft, creamy and without any difficult-to-chew bits. Unfortunately for Rebecca Shorten, her most recent experience with macaroni and cheese was decidedly un-comforting.
Sunday evening, Shorten was home with her fiancee, eating a quick dinner of pre-made mac and cheese from Tesco, when she found herself biting into something hard in her meal. Before she could prevent it, she swallowed the object. Looking more closely, she discovered two inch-long metal nails in her dish. Later that evening she was taken to the hospital, where it was discovered via X-Ray that she had indeed swallowed a third nail. She is currently in the hospital and on morphine to dull the stomach pains while she waits for the nail to pass through her system.
Tesco has recalled the product from their shelves and is investigating the situation more closely.

Weird how the article says she's currently in the hospital waiting for the nail to pass, yet the press has been to her and has taken her photo for the story.
I'm just saying...

Mac and cheese slides down rather fast with little chewing. I have known of people finding objects like this in their foods also. I also have found them. The food industry needs to be more careful of OUR food products. I hope she sues them because it serves them right. Everyone is ragging on this poor woman and she is the victim! She's in the hospital on freakin' morphine. That stuff is horrible not to mention her pain is has to suffer from!

People like you make it hard for the "real" complaints which are actually justified, by a customer, by creating such non-sense, & complaining etc. to the waiters/waitresses,management, whatever! Just like the ignorant people who as the server: "How many pieces of shrimp come in the " 21 " piece shrimp plate? " or "How is your "fried" chicken prepared? Duh! People like you, cost restaurant owners and employees $$$$$$ and jobs, constantly! Get real, and get a life!!

After severe stomach pains and bleeding, he was hospitalized and had to undergo surgery to remove the wires. They had come from the metal bristled brush that had been used to clean the grill. These types of situations aren't at all uncommon. Use caution because anything can happen!

1) She didn't chew, she just gulped it down like water.
2) The nails would have arced in the microwave.
3) She never stirred the food or looked at it. Just gulped it down like water.
4) She got free morphine.
5) The company already pulled the product completely off the shelves on the word of one person with no proof, losing millions of dollars, which they will now pass on to everyone else to pay.
6) She needs money to pay for her wedding.
7) This is utter BS and fake. That is a fake photoshopped Xray, a very obvious and poorly-done fake.
