Once again, it's been a fun, informative, and wildly divergent week for foodies on the Weblogs network. Green Daily opened the door to a whole new world of lean meat choices with their discussion of India's rat meat initiative. On a related note, Gadling pointed out that Los Angeles has begun denying permits to fast food restaurants in South Central LA.
Parentdish featured a small piece on the possibility that Red Bull causes heart problems (meanwhile, That's Fit found that energy drinks also damage teeth and gums). Channeling the wisdom of Solomon, the site also explored the complex morality involved in vegetable deception.
As per usual, That's Fit offered a veritable cornucopia of food articles. To begin with, they did focused pieces on quinoa, peanuts, eggs, eggplant, beet juice, safe grilling, and tea. It also was a good week for lists, as the site explored the 100 best foods for women, the 125 best packaged foods, 3 ways to eat locally, 6 foods that fix bad breath, and the 10 best choices for light beer.
Useful information across the board. I can't wait to see what they come up with next week!
