It's time for football to start back up again, both college and pro. In celebration of the Chik-fil-A College Kickoff game, the company has a great freebie offer lined up for Labor Day.

On September 1st, go into any participating Chik-Fil-A wearing a sports team logo and they'll give you an order of their "new and improved" chicken strips. The logo can be from any level of football team, even the one your kid is on.

10. Attend a cooking demonstration9. Take a class on foraging8. Mow a neighbor's lawn in exchange for a home cooked meal7. Watch those 'buy one, get one6. Crash a wedding's cocktail hour

When I read about this on Fast Food Critic, I immediately thought it was a good deal, Chik-Fil-A being one of the few fast food places that I think has reasonably good food. Fast food Critic also gave the new chicken strips a good review. Can I borrow a team logo hat from someone?

Are you willing to dress up for free food?

As for Dad (LSU Tigers - your current national champ), Mom (UNC Tarheels/Duke Blue Devils/LSU Tigers),oldest daughter (Duke Blue Devils), middle daughter (undecided, but leaning towards TIGERS) and youngest daughter (undecided but will being wearing TIGER garb), we commend CFA for taking part in college athletics!!!!! If you think their food is good, or they are just another fast food place, they are still giving back and sponsering education. We will be at our local CFA at 11:00am on Monday to partake in their give away! Sorry cows, I will be slapping you on the barb-e for dinner. EAT MORE CHICKEN!

Just because the company was founded by a dude who wanted to give his employees Sunday off so they could spend time with their families doesn't mean everyone that works there is Christian or prays, or wants YOU to pray. I live in North Carolina and love to eat here occasionally and we have LOTS of different people who work there... Muslim teens and athiests and little punk rockers. Chic fila gives many teens job opportunities and has a college scholarship program, did you know that? That doesn't mean their chicken doesn't have salt in it. Whatever. I'm sure eating a lot of salt one day after a week of well balanced diet and excercise isn't gonna do you in, in the long run. My grandparents cooked with Campbell's soup for 84 years now and they're still working their 3 acre farm, healthy as healthy can be. For reals.
