Our pals at Epicurious's Epi-Log pointed us to this lusciously awkward Today Show cooking segment wherein Sam the Cooking Guy shuts Kathie Lee's cakehole not so much with cake, as with a heaping helping of STFU. It's no doubt soured his relationship with the show, but makes for some mighty sweet TV.

I truely hope that the producers look at stuff like this and take it to heart. It is fluff, but rude is rude and most of the morning shows are hosted by rude people. Kathie Lee seems to NOT be the world's favorite host, if the comments here are any indication - however, that notwithstanding, Kathie Lee and Hoda should both not talk while a person with approximately 120 seconds has to create and discuss food, or any other type activity. This was not the time for their too-cute interjections...
The Today Show has been scrambling since they broke up Katie, Matt and the gang. Their chemistry was unique. It's almost an insult to have Kathie Lee palmed off as a substitute for Katie Couric.
