1893 Veuve Cliquot unearthed in a British castle

Telegraph.co.uk reports that the world's oldest bottle of Veuve Cliquot Champagne was found in a sideboard at Torosay Castle on the Isle of Mull. Chris James, the current owner, long curious as to the contents of a locked sliding door in the dining room engaged the services of a locksmith. He was rewarded with a perfectly preserved 1893 bottle, complete with trademark yellow label. The bubbly, now considered priceless, is on display in Veuve Cliquot's visitors' center in Reims, France.
In other news, I was really excited to find a half-full bottle of Tito's vodka I'd forgotten about in my freezer last week. But then again, I don't own a damn castle.

I recently found a half bottle of Captain Morgan that I had forgotten about in the back of the freezer. Woo!

I fell in love with Tanqueray Malacca Gin. When it went AWOL in the store I was distraught. When I moved from California to Missouri I was very happy to find a bottle that had rolled to a remote corner in the cabinet. That was my last taste of that wonderful gin.
Any suggestions on a replacement?

Monty - I never got to try the Malacca (wah!), but a poster on E-Gullet suggests that Bluecoat American Dry might be the closest approximation.

My current favorite gins (not with the same flavor notes as the Malacca, but just so long as we're talking gin) are DH Krahn and Junipero. Both fully allow the full range of botanicals to frolic about (I'm a juniper fan, so that's pretty key to me), but have a fairly light body that allows it to work and play well with other ingredients. I've also been slurping up a fair amount of Hendricks with cucumber, 'cause it just feels so goshdarned summery.
Current fave - DH Krahn with muddled blueberries and a small squeeze of lemon juice, or with the blueberries, half a lemon, simple syrup, and a splash of sweet Vya vermouth. Cheers!
