During the first couple of days of July, I nibbled my way through three floors of New York City's Javits Center while attending the Summer Fancy Food Show. Several other folks from AOL Food and Epicurious were also there, tasting chips, cheese, chocolates and dips. We discovered that there are quite a few people making artisanal chocolate, flavoring things with lavender and pear-ginger and doing amazing things with live foods among many other, tasty things. We've all sorted through our samples, press kits and memories, trying to bring you what we think was the very best of the show in one fun, appealing slideshow that you can find over at AOL Food. Head on over, take and look and then come back over here and let us know what you think. Did we pick anything you love? Or did we happen to hit on a product you've tried and not liked? We want to hear what you think!

I would like to know where I can get the key lime cake, as that link didn't work on the list. The other ones, well most of them worked, but that one did not. It sounds so yummy!!!!!!!

I've just discovered -yes, it is a relatively new product - Coconut Bliss Ice Cream. Made from coconut milk and sweetened with agave syrup (LOW GLicemix index) it is delicious and refreshing. The chocolate flavor does not have a coconut taste.
This is really good. They have many other flavors available and recently upgraded their facilities and are hoping to expand their product availability to more states. They are mostly available along the Western United states.
IT IS REALLY YUMMY!

I work at a cheese shop, and sadly we don't love the Truffle Tremor. We love truffle cheese in general - Pecorino Tartufo is always a hit - but something about the combination of goat's milk cheese and truffles is off-putting. We love everything else from Cypress Grove; we just think this one is a miss.

This list of products was so great, I am so sick of fixing the same thing for dinner over and over, if I didn't love food so much I'd go on a hunger strike! Please Please continue to post these finds, even though I watch the food network around the clock they are too heavy on the items in the dish, all the prep, blah blah blah. I don't have 10 people prepping for me in my kitchen. Thanks again, these one step sauces, rubs etc. are just what I need.

Carrie - it just kills me that we didn't make it over there! Those biscuits were on my list, and I just ran out of time. Next year, I hope.
Julia - we certainly will keep posting these. Shows like this are the highlight of my job, and my most favorite thing of all is finding products I love, made by small companies who could use the exposure, and spreading the word. Stay tuned for more!

Two things stood out for me at the Fancy Food show:
1. Blackwell's Organic raspberry sorbet.
2. Golden Bon Bon's northern Italian bonbons.
Both scrumptious!
