Midnight Sausage: Launceston, Cornwall

Launceton, Cornwall. From Flickr user biotron's Flickr.

I'm posting images of sausage counters the world over each weeknight (and occasionally weekend) witching hour until I run out. Please use the comments section to post links to your Flickr or personal site faves, and perhaps you'll see 'em posted here late some evening.

saying you're *never* going to eat any animal again? What about
bacon?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Ham?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad! Those all come from the same animal!
Homer: [Chuckles] Yeah, right Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.

I see a pork carcass, and I just start thinking of the possibilities!
Whole roast pig.
Ribs ribs and more ribs.
Smoked shoulder.
BACON!
Honey glazed hams.
BACON!

I think that unless you can stand to watch an animal prepared, you should be denied their meaty goodness.

What the photo shows (hanging pig carcasses) doesn't bother me so much as the fact that I don't like clicking on my slashfood.com link and getting ambushed by bloody, visceral images that I'm just not expecting. I think you're unusual to see partial butchered animals as potential meals. Save it for slashbutcher.com

I see no blood.
And as for being unusual for seeing an animal as a potential meal(not just partially butchered thank you very much) talk to any chef.

Oh, and I don't really care if I am, as we all have our limits. I agree with others who don't understand the point of midnight sausage counter pictures.

While the photo may not be to everyone's taste, to us meat eaters and pork lovers those suckers are roasts, bbq, sausage, salami, bacon, chops, ribs, trotters, snouts, shins, cracklins, liver, heart, kidneys, and many other soon to be, tasty treats from that wonderful, magical animal. The Pig. In other words, FOOD. And this IS Slashfood. Not Slashveggies. Not Slashcookies. Launceston Tasmania

12-15-2010 @4:38AM Launceston Tasmania said... Launceston Tasmania is really a attractive place. Get a 1.6 km walk to the cliff side property Cataract Cliff Grounds Reserve, at this stage of the chairlift runs this cliff. Several other functions to take account of manicured gardens, pool and lake. In the north east of Tasmania is located in Mount William National Park, where a small population, some guests and a lot of animals. This food is really bad experience for everyone.
