Are high gas prices getting to you? Jack in the Box wants you to know that they sympathize. On Thursday, June 26 the restaurant chain will be giving out two free tacos when you show them a recent gas receipt. That's it. Just show the cashier a recent receipt from any gas station and you can get yourself two free tacos. The deal runs all day and you don't have to buy anything else. However, the receipt must be original, no copies allowed. Also, only one order of tacos per gas receipt.
If you live near a Jack in the Box, keep your gas receipts and have a free snack on Thursday. I'd probably do that if I lived anywhere near a Jack in the Box, but I don't think there are any of them on the east coast.

The last time we had them here in the Chicago area was around 1979; then they packed up and moved all of their operations west of the Rockies. I, too, am tortured whenever I see one of their commercials. The nearest one to Chicago is a 2-1/2 hour drive away in southern Illinois, so I would have to burn a few tanks of gas each way to savor their flavor again. My sister in California used to bring a bag of them back to Chicago for me whenever she flew in for a visit. I finally called their headquarters and asked them why they torment loyal JITB Chicagoans with their commercials when they don't even have any restaurants in our area anymore. I was told they may open them again here within the next two years. When they do, I will be first in line. My mouth is already watering at the thought of those FANTASTIC, ONE-OF-A-KIND TACOS!!!!!!!!!!
