We've been talking a lot about ice cream lately, so I became extremely excited yesterday when I found this article over at The Huffington Post. It features goat's milk ice cream, an intriguing dairy creation that's apparently healthier than regular ice cream and popular with celebrities like Jim Carrey and Kate Hudson. The brand discussed in the article is called Laloo -- check out the site for details and adorable pictures of baby goats (kids, I know, but baby goats sounds so much cuter). After consulting the list of local dealers, I found out that it's actually sold at tons of stores that are close to my home. I'm a bit cautious about trying it, but if any of you have rave reviews, I may just have to go and purchase a pint. Anyone?

They're both amazing. It has the same dense creaminess of goat cheese, but without the goaty aftertaste. (I just made up the word "goaty," I think.)
The chocolate cabernet is especially rich and delicious. It's like grown-up ice cream.

And I agree that the ice cream would appeal to more sophisticated palates. I also like how they aren't full of weird chemicals and don't have a very goaty flavor. They're a bit pricey, but well worth it!

I regularly eat goat yogurt and cheese, but this was terrible. It was so bad it actually made my husband and I giggle like children, as if we'd eaten something on a dare.
But in a case of Serendipity, when I picked this up, I happened to notice Purely Decadent Coconut Milk Ice cream in the case next to it, and bought that too. As luck would have it - it was fabulous!!!
