And you thought Skittles were just for eating. Turns out the candies are perfect for coloring/flavoring vodka.
According to EnglishRussia.com this is a fun new tend. Just separate the skittles by color, add to vodka, let the alcohol absorb the color, and drain. Voilá, rainbow colored vodka! Enjoy in moderation and only if you're at the legal drinking age.
This trend seems like it would lend itself well to summer cocktails. What do you think?

What a great idea, a rainbow that can also be used as a stress reliever lol.

When I was younger I used to throw same colored skittles in bottles of Smirnoff Ice. I loved the color and the taste but if you try it, you have to drink it quick because it fizzes up quickly and also goes flat quickly as well.

when I was in college, we used to flavor liquor (and...zima. I WAS YOUNG!) with jolly ranchers candies. The color wasn't as vibrant as what's pictured. good flavor, though :)

Pretty, but I'll pass on the nasty candy portion. That's a hangover in a bottle.

That's funny we use to do this all the time but make sure its good Vodka. We would add the Red Skittles to 1.0.1 (One-O-One) Vodka all the time. The Vodka is already amazingly smooth with a touch of sweetness but now you have a cool color. It's great for parties!!! I miss those days. Now it's still 1.0.1 Vodka but in martini form. Oh well.
