We can all appreciate the economic slow down. I know I've felt it's impact. One way to save money is to cut unnecessary items out of the grocery list. If your family likes seasoning salt, that's one thing that can go: you can make your own. A lot of people already have the ingredients, here's how you put them together.2 Tablespoons of salt,
2 teaspoons of sugar,
1/2 teaspoon of paprika,
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric,
1/4 teaspoon of onion powder,
1/4 teaspoon of granulated garlic.
Mix everything up well and store in an airtight container. This is a small batch, but you can multiply it up as needed. If you don't have an ingredient, maybe a premixed seasoning salt is a viable option. If you do have everything, though, why spend the extra cash?
