The Beacon is in Spartanburg, SC and known all over for it's famous iced tea amongst other things. While I'm not a fan of the lemon version which is their most popular I have yet to hear anyone else say they didn't just love it.

Since they don't compromise in their brewing process, they are limited in how far their tea can be distributed - it has a legitimate experience date. This tea reminds me of what I drank during the days when I visited my great aunts in VA. If McDonald's received an "A" in your grading, Milo's would get an A++.

It's my absolute favorite when I'm on the go.. but another favorite of mine didn't make the list and it is rather tasty too! You have to try RED DIAMOND sweet tea! SO good! They make 1 with sugar and another with splenda to make everyone happy :)

#1 - When making it yourself use only Luzianne. I know you have other brands you like for hot tea but when it comes to Southern Sweet Tea the ony brand is Luzianne.

#2 - To the author of the texas tea tips. Texas tea is black gold (oil, that is) and it tastes as bad even with sweeteners. It is not southern tea by any stretch.

#3 - Bojangles is consistently the best iced tea you can get outside your own home (not counting grandma's or aunties)!

Although I heard that the extra sweet lipton isnt sold everywhere in the U.S.!? I don't understand why if it isnt!? it's so yummy!!

I buy tea and sugar in bulk and grow mint in my window sill. For what you pay for for 1 bottle or can of tea with God knows what's in it I can make 3 gallons. It's good, it's natural, and, because I don't have bottles or cans to deal with, it's GREEN........

There are unsweetened, sweetened, and Southern-style extra sweetened varieties, along with a very tasty honey-ginseng and other flavors. Some of the tastiest brew in the drink display.
