Tip of the Day: Healthier casserole toppings

Like to make casseroles, and need new topping ideas? Here are a couple of healthier topping options.
Bread crumbs.Do you like to make casseroles? Are you concerned about serving healthy meals to your family? Most casserole toppings are things like fried onions or buttered bread crumbs, but there are better options out there.

Try wheat germ as a topping. You might also switch to wheat bread crumbs rather than regular. At least that way you're getting a little more whole grain in your family's diet.

If you plan a casserole for dinner some time soon, try something new and a little healthier.
