Trader Joe's is looking for HiiP recipes

Trader Joe's Recipe Showdown

Trader Joe's is looking for recipes that are HiiP (Highly Innovative Ingredient Pairings). The requirements are that recipes use up to four Trader Joe's products, no alcohol, and take 20 minutes or less to prepare and cook.

I'm left wondering just how innovative of a recipe they are looking for. Do they want recipes like those featured in the blog event Things that Go Really Well Together that have pairings as unique as white chocolate and caviar, or are they looking for something a bit more mainstream? I'll be very interested to see the results.

I could not find any thing about the contest on the site. Exactly where is it. I shop there all the time and have made up a few recipes through the years. Actually I worked at the original store back in the early 80's. I wrapped cheese back when they did that in the store. I was 16 at the time. I wish I still had my shirts!

Thanks for the heads up about this contest. I blog about Trader Joe's all the time and regularly post simple recipes featuring their ingredients. I have one in mind for this contest and I'll be back with a link when I do.
