Why is it hard to bring lunch every day? I pack my lunch every single day and I eat quite well. Almost always leftovers from the previous night's dinner. Our office *does* have a full kitchen but I rarely ever use more then the microwave... or perhaps the toaster oven.

I could see this being handy if there were no other way to heat leftovers available. Construction sites, maybe? But most offices, even tiny ones, usually have a microwave available. So I'm kind of leaning toward putting this in the unnecessary gadget category.

It could also be used for keeping something warm on a buffet table, like spinach artichoke dip, but a mini-crockpot can do that, too, plus has other uses.

OTOH, I like the styling.

I can see college students using this. My school's dorms have full kitchens and a dining hall, but they're a good 20 minute walk away from the rest of the campus and the majority of the offerings on the main part of campus are rather unhealthy and it'd be nice to have something less greasy or deep-fried (although I do love my Panda Express). If I had one of these babies, I'd be able to just fill it up with something that is yummy and healthy and then plug it into an electrical outlet (which are everywhere thanks to laptop demands) when I want to eat.

My office has 2 microwaves on my floor, but anytime from 11 until 2 they're in use. I can't stand in line waiting. This would be great. Nice alternative to the salads and sandwiches I bring now.

There's never a line for toasting my bagel in the morning, mostly cause no one's around yet...

I didn't know it was hard to bring your lunch to work everyday. Somehow I manage to do it. It just takes a little bit of planning.

Ok, I just have to say that it *can* be tricky bringing lunch, as with everything, it just depends on the situation of it. Being unable to fathom this is a bit much. Some people live different lifestyles that inhibits the kind of portable food available on a regular basis.

And back when my office didn't have a microwave, this lil gizmo would have been perfect. The idea that it'd be great for students is dead-on too. Sometimes the line-ups at microwavers is just too much when you've only got so much time.
