Eat some food this month

These food days and months are usually more specific. We've had National Chocolate Mousse Day and Great American Pie Month, and even National Eat Something on a Stick Day. But this April holiday covers just about everything.
April is National Food Month.
So...I would suggest that this month you celebrate by eating some food. Take a look at the categories to the right and pick some recipes to make. Or check out Food Network or AllRecipes or Epicurious or one of the many other food sites around the web.
I don't think April is National Drink Month, but I would suggest drinking something with that food.

They should probably change that to; "National Extremely Expensive Food Month" to go along with the economy and the excessive price increases.

I would suggest donating some food to a food bank instead to celebrate National Food Month. The economic downturn and rising prices are forcing many families to turn to food banks, which is putting pressure on them to keep their shelves stocked.
Food bank directors across the country say their problems are growing because of the increased need for food assistance and the increasing cost to provide it.
In my area, nearly 1,000 pounds of canned goods was stolen last week from a Virginia food bank called Alexandrians Involved Ecumenically (ALIVE), which delivers food to about 12,000 people a year. ALIVE discovered the theft at one of its three warehouses. The thieves took about 1/3 of ALIVE's supply.
