Ever enjoy a really good bottle of wine, but wake up the next morning and can't remember what it was called?

Yeah, me too. Which is why this is a pretty cool new addition to many wine bottle labels: rip-off reminder tabs. If you really enjoy that perfectly-aged Shiraz, simply rip off the tab and stick it in your pocket, so you can refer to it the next time you're at the wine store.

This seems like an especially good idea if you're at a party or a restaurant, and you can't exactly lug the entire empty bottle home with you (and you don't have pen and paper to scribble with).

someone told me they use their camera phone to take pictures of the label. i think it's a great idea... except i am not that much of a wine connoisseur.

This is why I always have a small notebook and pen in my purse.

Of course, in a pinch between notebooks, I have been known to have the server write it down on the back of my receipt. ;)

With my luck, the handy dandy little reminder tab would still be in the pants pocket at the end of the wash cycle. Completely sodden and unreadable. But for those with their faculties intact, it sounds like a great idea.

What a great idea (and why didn't I think of it?) i have used my cell phone to take a picture. However those taken after consuming the bottle are not always the best.
