Sam Adams recalls beer

Sam Adams beer bottleNow the recall mania has hit beer lovers.

Today we told you about Malt-o-Meal cereal being recalled, and now comes word that Sam Adams is recalling beer because some bottles might have glass fragments in them. Only 12 oz bottles of Sam Adams beer in brown bottles are being recalled. The bottles are from a third party that supplies bottles to Sam Adams, and the glass was discovered during routine inspection at its Cincinnati plant. The bad bottles have an "N35" and then an "OI" stamped near the bottom (see pic).

This is one of my nightmares about drinks and food that come in glass bottles, whether it's beer or pasta sauce or mustard or whatever. I'm really surprised that something like this doesn't happen more often.

So I guess I'll look at 'em before I drink 'em.

As to "being in brown bottles"....yes all their beers are......it keeps the lights effect on brew to a minimum.

Steven Van Nostrand

However, there are a lot of greedy people taking advantage of the economic free for all that his administration created. It is the Republican way. A massive redistribution of wealth at an unprecedented scale.
The average American is suffering while the top 2 or 3% are profiting from crisis after crisis the Bush administration can barely acknowledge much less do anything about. Is there one industry or government agency that has not been at least tempted to save a few precious bucks by skipping scheduled maintenance, hiring illegals, laying off employees, not hiring, denying veterans’ benefits?
Those of you who believe these problems are really Bill Clintons, why has your Decider not reversed them? His attention is focused on the Middle East alone. Another thing, desperate goat herders from Iraq did not take down the Twin Towers. We know who did but we are “friends” with his family.
