Now the recall mania has hit beer lovers.
Today we told you about Malt-o-Meal cereal being recalled, and now comes word that Sam Adams is recalling beer because some bottles might have glass fragments in them. Only 12 oz bottles of Sam Adams beer in brown bottles are being recalled. The bottles are from a third party that supplies bottles to Sam Adams, and the glass was discovered during routine inspection at its Cincinnati plant. The bad bottles have an "N35" and then an "OI" stamped near the bottom (see pic).
This is one of my nightmares about drinks and food that come in glass bottles, whether it's beer or pasta sauce or mustard or whatever. I'm really surprised that something like this doesn't happen more often.

The sad thing is that the distributors just found out today as well. Hopefully, they can pull it off the shelves before the consumers get it.

Last time I looked ALL SAM ADAMS BEER came in a brown bottle at least all the ones on my fridge.
So I guess I'll look at 'em before I drink 'em.

No big deal. Just get a t-shirt or something else and pour the bottle through it into another container if you're worried about glass fragments. That's assuming that you've got bottles with the recalled coding on them.

No glass bottle manufacturer makes bottles for only one company. Look for recalls on other brands, like Budweiser, etc.

my question is why are we getting all recalls on food and beer now, who is responsible for all this shit, can we sue the manufactorers if we get sick?, and why in the hell isnt someone investagating in all this crap?i sure could use a couple of billion dollars from each company, so i can get a new car a new home and what ever else comes into my mind...

Shouldn't the title be Sam Adams recalls beer bottles? Cause there is surely nothing wrong with the beer!

I work at a big liquor store, and the distributor has already pulled all of the beer out of the store. And yes it was Bush's fault.

I work at a big liquor store, and the wholesaler has already came in and taken care of the recalled beer. There was almost 50 cases that went back, but all the beer now is safe. And P.S. it was Bush's fault

Since I don't drink beer or any other, I don't have this problem. Not much glass in blunts.

I'm sure the order for "brown" bottles to be pulled was not from the Company,,,,,,more likely the original author of the article . Their recall I'm sure was for the coding of said bottles.
As to "being in brown bottles"....yes all their beers are......it keeps the lights effect on brew to a minimum.

oh no. are we to draw down or draft up. maybe a surge. dog gone it...W has goofed again...them republicans!!! i suppose it's racist to say be careful of anything that comes in BROWN bottles. but in total, though it is an inconvenient truth, this kind of safety recall of samuel adams "is always a good decision."
