Increasingly, the under-10 crowd is showing up at Bay area restaurants, and the restaurants happily accommodate.
The Baja meets the Bayou with fish tacos and accompanying fiery salsas, beets get an undeserved bad rap, the Roving Feast goes to Berlin for Potato Salad and Big Meatballs, and a Hae-muhl Pah-jun, Korean seafood "pancake," pairs well with wine.
The liquor of the moment is absinthe, with recipes for Sacred Heart, Sazerac, and Death at Dusk.

i brought absinthe and absinthe cupcakes to a party i went to sat night....huge hit....i knew it would go over well because it was a party of old hippies, young punks and everybody there had multiple tattoos. the absinthe i ordered from my favorite liquor store...their first time carrying it...it came with a beautiful intricately cut spoon and it was about $40 for a fifth. unfortunately i didnt know until i read the label that it wasnt made from wormwood....so i will look around and try and order some that is made with it....nevertheless everybody who drank it said it was potent and went straight to their heads. i didnt have any (im on too many drugs right now) except when i tasted it when making the cupcakes just to see how the taste was....i love licorice so i loved it. im going to make a torte with it with anisette toast, strawberries or kiwis, chocolate pudding and whipped cream next.
