Chef Paul Prudhomme was setting up his tent at the Zurich Classic (golf) in New Orleans when he felt something on his arm and thought he was stung by a bee. When he opened his shirt sleeve, a .22 calibre bullet fell to the ground!
Fortunately for Chef Prudhomme, the bullet was apparently not aimed at him, but had simply fallen, probably shot from somewhere within a mile-and-a-half radius of the golf course. The chef's shirt was torn and his skin was cut, but he was back to cooking within five minutes.
So he wasn't shot at, but I still like to think that chefs, given what they do in their tiny restaurant kitchens, are invincible.

My goodness, if his weight hasn't killed him, I should think a mere bullet would be a walk in the park. Years ago, seeing him once a year was a very scary thing, watching him increase in size to the most unreal proportions. He seems a dear man, making it all the more uncomfortable to see the motorized chair beneath him nearly collapse. On the other hand, now we see it means he can leave the kevlar at home.

Did he regain all of that weight? I last saw him in 2004, during the anniversary special where they dropped their prices to 1970's levels. He looked well - plump, still overweight, but not morbidly obese like before.

I haven' seen him in about 6 or 7 years so you are probably more accurate. How wonderful he made some changes.
