Tip of the Day: Keep the meringue attatched to the side of your pie

Don't you just hate when the meringue shrinks from the sides of a pie? Here's how to change that.

A slice of banana creme pie with merengue.
When you make a pie, or anything else, that gets a meringue topping, always
make sure that you spread the mixture all the way out to the sides. If the
meringue has something to hold onto, it won't shrink back toward the center.

It's a pretty simple tip, but one you may not necessarily think of. Just get that
meringue all the way out to the edge and you'll be fine.
