Eat a tasty animal today

A large piece of grilled meat.Well, today is March 15th and if you know PETA, then you should know what day it is. Yep, it's Eat a Tasty Animal for PETA day.

Oh, you thought I meant the other PETA. Nah, I meant People for the Eating of Tasty Animals. You can look them up on Face Book. The group even posted an event page for the occasion.

Check it out. And eat a tasty animal tonight!

Considering the extremely heavy slant towards Vegan-friendly philosophy that most Slashfood posters seem to have, the post single-handedly renewed my faith in Slashfood. I read this post and thought that maybe, just maybe, Slashfood could still be a place for foodies of different opinions and philosophies.
As for the specific issue at hand, why is non-offensive to post heavy-handed PETA propaganda like 'The Meatrix' that was posted here previous, but it is offensive to post something pro-meat? Ridiculous.

Is the alternative usage of "p.e.t.a." antagonistic to PETA? You bet. But PETA's raison d’être is to be outrageous and antagonistic, so in their specific case it seems reasonable.

I am a vegan , i dont agree with alot of peta's ways and how many vegans go about there ways. but i like to eat things of spiritual nature that have not been killed in a negative way. i deal with meat every day more than your average meat eater ... but i feed that tasty meat to my creatures i care for, my dogs. i believe most the world simply isnt spiritually evolved enough to take on veganism. so continue on with your carnivore ways until you find your own way... instead of one that has been imprinted upon you
