That's a surprise: a diamond falls out of a cracker

Up close photo of some wheat crackers.Well here's something that doesn't happen every day. A British woman, Kim Stead, bit into a cracker (called biscuits in England), and a diamond fell out. Of course she was really excited about it at first, but quickly came to the conclusion that it probably wasn't worth that much.

The diamond was pretty small and had probably fallen out of a jewelry setting. She did notify the cracker company, McVitie, who at first suggested that it might be crystallized sugar. Once Mrs. Stead assured them it was a diamond, McVitie sent a package for her to return to them so they could start an investigation.

No word on if Mrs. Stead has returned the diamond yet or any results. What would you do if you found something like that in your food?

No cracked tooth, but lots of inflammation....took 2-3 weeks for it to stop hurting. I took the piece from the cereal with me to the dentist -- he said it's a wonder I didn't break/crack a tooth. It was hard as a rock...it was actually part of the cereal that for some reason had hardened. I ended up being rewarded from the cereal company with a little cash & a few coupons. She should definitely KEEP the diamond. She didn't order it -- but she certainly paid for it.

It stayed in storage for a long time and when my husband ran out of room to store his rifles, my brother-n-law remembered it was in storage. It had a small cabinet in the bottom full of old receipts and what I call "pocket trash." We asked several times who the cabinet belonged to and my brother-n-law said he had no idea. He'd gotten it when some people were evicted from a rental house down the road... Anyway, they just raked all of the trash into a grocery bag and were headed for the trash can when I decided I wanted to go through the bag. They thought I was silly but there was no reason why I shouldn't go through it before we threw it away. I found a pair of diamond earrings that I'm guessing are about a karat together by comparing them to a one karat diamond I have already. I haven't had them appraised or anything but I plan to. But, who woulda thought you could find diamonds in an old gun rack!?

Did you people not see the instructions to keep your entry to the subject at hand? The question was--WHAT WOULD YOU DO in this situation?? NOT who should we vote for!!! Keep your politics out of where it wasnt asked for.
SO, to answer the question,
What would you do? Me, I would keep the diamond, finders keepers, and how would I be sure to get it back to the owner anyway. To worry about if further would be totally fruitless. I would probably throw that particular box of food away, and maybe be leary about buying the product again. But I would keep whatever I found, and make sure it was thoroughly cleaned.
I WOULD NOT fill up space in this forum with my political views, or waste time and space debating whether it was a cookie, a cracker, or a biscuit.
Get a grip, people, and stick to the subject given!!!!
