A couple of days ago I was ready for spring, and now, seeing this picture, I'm ready for summer. Ah, roasted corn, there is nothing like your crunchy sweetness. So wonderful. The picture was taken by the folks over at What We're Eating and they blogged about it here (so it's a little old, but that doesn't make the picture any less delicious).
And, just to remind you, I'm always looking for delicious images to feature in this spot, so make sure to head over to the Slashfood Flickr group and add your yummy pictures.

Since I'm obviously not smart enough to find the 'Contact Us' link on this website, I'll post here - I like the site, and would like to be a regular visitor, but as long as we have page titles containing the word 'Porn', I won't be. I don't find it offensive (though my employer may), but really, is this all you can come up with?
Perhaps this keeps your visitor count down, since people don't want their proxy servers flagging them for surfing 'porn'.... (some of us -do- have jobs....)

If anything, Slashfood and other sites such as http://foodpornwatch.arr.net are attempting to challenge the traditional definition of pornography as a medium which sexually objectifies individuals and redefine it as a word that encompasses capturing the beauty of food photography. The way I see it, there are no issues of power and control in taking luscious pictures of corn or cookies, and we shouldn't implicate these issues simply because the word porn is used.
