Green food for St. Patrick's Day: Broccoflower

Broccoflower.Broccoflower is kind of new to me. If it's a common grocery store item, then I have totally been oblivious. This green veggie can be one of two things, even though both are closely related. It can be green cauliflower, which has been cross-bred with it's very close cousin broccoli. Or it can be Romanesco broccoli (pictured), which is unusual because of the fractal patterns it makes.

Like broccoli and cauliflower, broccoflower is high in fiber and vitamin C. You could put something new and noteworthy on your St. Patrick's Day menu this year. You may have to explain it to a few guests though!
