Robert Irvine, Food Network Star Fired for False Resume

Robert Irvine Dinner: Impossible pictureThe Food Network announced today that Robert Irvine, host of the challenge show Dinner: Impossible, has been released from his contract and that they will be looking for a replacement host for that show. Irvine has been mired in scandal ever since it was discovered that he lied about his past cooking experience, specifically his involvement with Princess Diana's wedding cake.

I will be really sad to see him go, as I've always enjoyed Dinner: Impossible. I guess the next stop for Chef Irvine will be a reality show, in which his only virtue is that he once had his own television show.

1. Buckingham Palace IS listed in the central London phone directory and ANY former employees in the royal household would surely be on file in the personnel offices
2. Irvine would have been only 16 YEARS OLD when "designing" Diana's wedding cake
3.Any domestic employee at The White House would also be on file in the personnel office, the FBI AND the CIA.

ALL easily checkable information.

Shame on you Brooke Bailey Johnson (FN President) for allowing this to happen in the first place. It could easily have been prevented had someone done their job properly. Shame, shame, shame. Looks like the egg is also on YOUR face, too.

Chef Robert Irvine has already proven homself, and I'm sure every star on The Food Network has at least one skeleton hiding somewhere in their closet. Robert at least has a humorous personality, unlike Barefoot Contessa who has no personality at all. I have cooked some of Chef Robert's recipes, and they are just as good to eat as they are to watch him prepare.

He 'added' to his accomplishments -- we all 'pad' our resume. If FN is concerned about 'lying' they should look at some of the commercials being played on their network. Meanwhile . . . keep Irvine! FN should help him make good on his 'situation' in St. Petersburg. FN should 'secure' THEIR good name by making Mr. Irvine make restitution. He is a good man. He is a remarkable chef. He makes FN watchable! It is great to have my husband watch a true 'man show' with me. Irvine forever!

EVENTHO ROBERT IRVINE GETS A LITTLE CARRIED AWAY WITH HIS ENCENTRIC BEHAVIOR AND WITH THE EMBELISHMENT OF HIS RESUME GETTING HIM IN TROUBLE WITH FOOD NETWORK I STILL THINK HE IS A GOOD CHEF AND HE DID HIS SHOW JUSTICE NO MATTER WHAT HIS BACKGROUND MAY OR MAY NOT OF BEEN NO ORDINARY RUN OF THE MILL CHEF COULD HAVE PULLED OFF SOME OF THE CHALLENGES HE FACED EVERY WEEK COOKING FOR 100 TO 1500 PEOPLE IN UNDER 8 HOURS IS INCREDIBLE FOR ANY TYPE OF CHEF NO MATTER IF HE WAS FROM THE ROYAL PALACE OR THE LOCAL B.K OR MICKY D'S I THINK FOOD NETWORK SHOULD RETHINK THEIR DECISION AND ALLOW IRVINE TO CONTINUE HIS SHOW IT HAS BEEN A GOOD SHOW AND HE HAS BEEN DOING A GOOD JOB AT IT

I am disappointed that he "fluffed" his resume, it is obvious that he DOES have talent .....although I enjoy many Food Network shows; there are at least three other "chefs/cooks" showcased that are NOT "Officially trained" Rachel Ray, Paula Deen, and Sandara Lee. Even without "proper training" all three cook, have talent, and inspire. JUST LIKE MR IRVINE. Please reconsider Food Network

I suppose once he said what he did, he had to keep the lies up. I just think it's so funny that so many were fools and believed him without bothering to check up on it! LOL! Our whole family loves watching him on TV and we will miss him. Now if it were only that simple to remove lying presidential candidates or politicians...
