When it comes to coffee, while I can say that I have to drink a steaming hot cup of it at least once a day, I have to admit that I'm not very - how do you say? -- discriminating. Basically, I'm your street variety caffeine addict who only cares that it gives me a high, even if only for 15 minutes.
So is it fair for me to "review" the tiny sample of Dunkin Donuts coffee that the company sent me to try? Absolutely!
I brewed the entire sample pack with the intention of giving it a full test run -- one cup fresh after brewing taken black, one cup maybe a few minutes later with my usual splash of soy milk. Was it acidic? Balanced? Deep? How the hell do I know? This is basically what I will say about Dunkin Donuts coffee.
It tastes nothing like doughnuts.
But I understand that the real appeal of Dunkin Donuts coffee comes from knowing that you are getting coffee that is the same coffee they serve in the pink and orange temple to fried dough. With that understanding, Dunkin Donuts coffee is pretty darn good.

I think "It tastes nothing like doughnuts" is perhaps the best coffee review I have ever read, ever.

I think a doughnut flavored coffee would be amazing...Amazon sells a decent French Toast flavored roast though.

Their coffee isn't bad. The flavored ones are pretty good. My mom is an assistant manager there. So all we have in the house is Dunkin coffee. If you have a Dunkin Donuts store around, buy the coffee from their and not the store. Chances are its fresher.

Dunkin Donuts Coffee is by far the WORST, WOOOOORST coffee I have ever drunk in my entire life. Now and again I will go there when I'm on the road or something, order a small black coffee, and then find myself unable to finish it.
It's always watered down, filthy tasting, and its main flavor profile is "burn". Maybe if you're drinking a chocofreeziemochaberryslushiesurprise, and you can't taste the actual coffee it might be slightly more palatable.
Since you brought up brewing your OWN DD coffee.. Now I know why it tastes so bad! "Watered down" and "burned" are definitely the results of a poor brewing process. Now I'm curious... Hmmm o_o

Buy it in a DD shop and not in the supermarket. The stuff in the market is not the real thing. It has a much longer expoiration date so the stuff in the DD shop is much fresher and tastes more like what the shop brews.

The supermarket stuff is from the people who make Folgers. It has a DD label on it. Yuck

To all fellow DD lovers, Help spread this PSA
**Public Service Announcement**
Your Fix Is In:
A certain upscale, green-logo'd mackaccino chain will be closing its doors on Tuesday night, February 26, for a mass barista training exercise (stop inhaling the retail, kids?).
You can tell your friends most likely to explode into a caffeine-withdrawal freak-fit that Dunkin' Donuts will be filling in with a 99¢ latte/cappuccino special from 1-10PM. And you know, chocolate-glaze donuts with pink sprinkles, 24-7.

I bought a bag of DD once. Once. I tried it two mornings in a row and tossed it all...
I'm not the staunchest adherant to the rules of coffee brewing, but my god that was some nasty stuff. It bumped JFG's "value" off the top of the worst list for my morning wake-up brew... Believe it or not the generic Arabica blend I get from walmart is better than passable, it's actually rather good.
