Cook at home with Rocco DiSpirito

Chopped red onions with knifeDo you want to make a special meal at home, but have no idea what you're doing? Celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito wants to help you with that.

Chef Rocco is working on a new cooking show for A&E. He wants to come to your home and show you how to make an extra special feast. Rocco will walk you through the entire process, including how to plan everything and where to find what you need.

Right now the show is in beginning stages. "Cooking with Rocco" (the working title) is currently looking for applicants in the New York and New Jersey area. If you're interested in getting Rocco in your kitchen, you can either call the casting hotline (818-752-5559) or email cookingwithrocco@gmail.com. The casting producers need to know your name, age, phone number, a recent picture, and the reason you need Rocco's help.

So if you're planning something special, this could be a fun way to do it. Having Chef Rocco show you the way could really help make your event that much more special.

I vaguely remember watching an episode or two of The Restaurant, and he didn't come off well there, but his recent involvement with Top Chef have, in my opinion, gone a long way towards rehabilitating his image. In his appearances on the show, and especially on his blog for Bravo, he came across as knowledgeable, good-natured, even somewhat humble. I'd be happy to have *that* Rocco DiSpirito teach me how to cook!
