Who knew gamers -- the ones who hole themselves up in their basements alone with their consoles for weeks at a time -- could be so lovey dovey?
Paul Pape designed these little Mii milk, white, or dark chocolates that come two in a box that's shaped like a console. The figures inside have tiny red hearts to indicate their love. They're totally cute for Valentine's Day, but they are sold out! OH NO! If you're creative enough, I'm sure you could put together something like this, or something even better, for your gamer love.

Hey Sarah,
I've really enjoyed your posts in the past, especially your recent foray into the aphrodisiac food-lore. I'm afraid I have to say that is not so this time.
I believe you were using a humorous turn of phrase, but could you please not use the hideous gamer stereotype if at all possible? Not all gamers will hole themselves up for weeks at a time. Also, would it be so amazing that we could be lovey-dovey? Or possibly be your readers, as well? It sounds almost bitter, simply offensive to use a wide brush to paint so many people.
It seems no different than saying "foodies - those people droolingly following the latest celebrity chef's blog and aping them in darkened kitchens - who thought they could be thin?" I think you'd take umbrage to that remark, as I certainly would.
I'm honestly not trying to ring a peal over your head. Please examine the language yourself, substitute a different stereotype, and see if you agree. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
Best regards,
Helen
