Um, camel steak? Tastes like beef!

camelsWhat do you do if you're in the Australian outback and have a feral camel problem? You start a camel meat business, of course. That's what Garry Dann did. He started Territory Camel to help deal with the feral camels in the area, and he's even begun getting feral camels from other parts of Australia brought to his processing plant. This has the added benefit of employing large numbers of indigenous people.

Territory Camel mainly makes camel steaks and sausages. For now their products are sold only in Australia, though Mr. Dann is trying to get tier 1 accreditation from Australian Quarantine Inspection Service. That would allow him to pursue an export market, mainly to Middle Eastern Countrys where camel meat is more acceptable.

A spokesman for the company said that, while getting people to try the camel meat is a challenge, once the hurdle has been jumped the "yuck factor is dispelled". They say that camel meat actually tastes like beef, so much so that even experienced cattlemen can't tell the difference. Not only that, but the meat is also low in cholesterol. This sounds like another strange food on my list of things to try. Yum!

Of course someone would bring religion into this. It's a pathetic move that gets thrown around in EVERY conversation in order to make a person feel OK about the choices they make. "God" forbid they actually debate using their own mind, nope, that's asking too much, that's far too difficult ... "Well, the bible says so, so it must be ok" is a much easier alternative. Give me a break!

Soo, bible beaters, if your God put everything here for our use, why isn't it OK for me to go next door, gut my neighbor, and cut me up a nice human filet? You want to talk about the ridiculousness of drwing a line ("what's the different between a cow and a camel" I think the retort was)... Well, then, what's the difference between a cow and a human? Both animals, right? And your argument is all animals should be "USED" equally, right? That's they way your God made us, right?

Nothing but a bunch of hypocrites!

===================================================

Perhaps you should stop eating then. Ripping those helpless veggies out of the ground as they're screaming....ooohh, help me, help me!
No-one's thumping a bible. What makes a camel more important than a chicken or a fish?
Unless you ride a camel to work everyday I guess?
What a pathetic loser.
Pass the A-1 please!

WHAT WOULD YOUR BIBLE TELL YOU TO DO,OR MORE IMPORTANTLY ,COULD YOU SURVIVE WITHOUT THE GOOD BOOK GUIDING YOU? ...THESE ARE THE THINGS I THINK ABOUT,AND I AM INTERESTED IN A TRUTHFUL AND LOGICAL ANSWER.

If that's the absolute best defense and retort you can come up with to advance your caveman mentality, then it's you, my friend, who is the pathetic one!

There is nothing that makes a camel more superior then a cow or chickenn (or whatever else you decide to fry up in the skillet) - that was kind of my point. If you're fine and dandy eating one, but replused by eating the other - well, I don't understand that logic. You and I actually agreed in that sense, so I find it completely amusing that you'e trying to insult my thinking - when it mimics yours in this case. Do you enjoy insulting yourself?

As for "God didn't intend for us to eat ALL meat". Says who? You? You're also the one that just said "God put everything here for us to use". So it's either EVERYthings, or it's SOMEthings. Pick one! Why is it bible followers can take the word so literally in some areas, and then kind of skew it to fit what they want in other areas? It's either a literal message that is being sent, or it's more of a thought inducing/abstract message. Pick one and stick to it! Quite flip flopping back and forth in order to "prove" your point. It makes you look weak, and it makes your cause look desperate!

1. Those of you who say eating camel is bad, but still eat meat. ITS JUST MEAT. SHUT UP.

2. Those of you who say eating camel is bad, but are vegetarians/vegans/idiots. You don't know what your talking about, get out, you need to eat meat before you can talk bad about it.

3. Those of you who say eating camel is bad because of religious boundaries. Get out.

The fact is, eating camel is exactly the same as eating an ostrich, an alligator, a cow, a chicken, anything. Its ALL meat, and NONE of it is over harvested. If it was there would be either a limitation or a ban put on it. So shut your face hole and eat some camel nuggets.

Camel is good and good for you! Most vegans I know have low Iron levels. They should bite into a camel or beef steak to fix this.
