This Sunday, fans from across the country will be glued to their televisions as the New York Giants and the New England Patriots face off in the Super Bowl. Here at Slashfood, we are approaching the Super Bowl from the snack table, facing off the tastes and treats from New York and New England. I'll be representing New York (it's particularly appropriate, since I'm spending the latter half of the week in Brooklyn) and our own Sarah J. Gim (a two-time veteran of the Slashfood Bowl) will be writing and eating on behalf of New England.
Will New York, with its mile-high cheesecake, chewy bagels and black and white cookies reign supreme? Or will New England trounce the Big Apple with creamy clam chowder, Boston Brown Bread and dark, molasses cookies? In the spirit of the Iron Chef, let the Bowl begin!
