I don't know if I have a special drink I have around the holidays, though I guess if I had to think of one it would be egg nog. Not that I drink a lot of it around the holidays, it's just that it's the only holiday-related drink that I can think of having. If I'm going to have a drink, I usually stick to what I have other months of the year, even if it is Christmas.
Fandango has a quiz where they'll figure out which drink is best for you during the holidays. They ask you questions such as your favorite color, what type of movies you like, your idea of a fun time, etc. Then they tell you what you should be drinking. It works with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
I don't know how accurate it is since I got "Whiskey," which I can't stomach.

Chocolate Candy Cane Martini
1.5oz vanilla vodka, i like Stolichnaya
.5oz peppermint schnapps
.5oz white creme de cacao
1 cherry
Chill a martini glass, combine all ingredients (except cherry) in shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain, drop in your cherry and enjoy!

Hhmmm, the quiz gave me daiquiris as my perfect holiday drink. Not exactly accurate - I do like daiquiris, but I'm not a fan of them in the winter. They're kind of a warm weather drink in my opinion.
My actual favorite holiday drink? I tend to be a fan of the bubbly (champagne and other sparking wines), just because it seems so celebratory (here are some good picks - http://www.3luxe.com/category/Wine/Bubbly).
When it's freezing out though, I have to go for a classic Irish coffee. Definitely warms you right up!

A note: you can replace the bourbon with applejack for a nice change of pace.

I usually sample a few seasonal Christmas beers. Right now I have Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, and Anchor Steam Christmas Ale, both delicious!

Ginger Wine (often in a Whisky Mac) is a winter favourite for us. Port & whisky come out quite often, too. It's far too cold to drink anything involving ice...

Some great suggestions from your readers. The Fandango test said I should "go Irish this holiday with a steaming mug of Irish Coffee like Joseph Donnelly in Far and Away." That sounds like a great change up to my usual Keoke Coffee.
