What's the most annoying Rachael Ray catchphrase?

Rachael RayThere are several "Rachael Rayisms" (I think she coined the term herself), and we all have our favorite. Or should I say our least favorite of all the ones we don't like.

Mine used to be "EVOO," but that has become such a part of the everyday food lexicon that I consider it a real food term now and not just something that Ray says (in fact, I believe the Oxford Dictionary just added it?). I'm gonna go with "Delish," because it embodies everything that's silly about the worst cooking shows and just overall lameness. Plus she says it in that new Christmas Dunkin' Donuts commercial and it drives me nuts. Other phrases she uses: "You guys!," "Parmigiano Reggiano," "awesome," and the classic "Yum-O."

To get you in the mood, after the jump, 2 minutes and 46 seconds of Rachael Ray saying "mmmmmmm."

My only knowledge of RR prior to reading this post was the one-liners added to her photographs on magazine covers at the grocery store checkout. From that one would assume that she is America's sweetheart... but in another blog, I recently learned that there is a whole community of artistic types out there that call Thomas Kincade a talentless hack, too... I suppose there is no accounting for taste... or my lack of touch with current culture. But the post I find most curious is by Snark.

Damn, man!! I know a LOT of men and I know a fair number of men that cook well but it's still just food. ...goes in one end and out the other. ...it should provide nutrients and energy to the body and preparing it is just a means to an end. That's it. If you can get excited by that I'm happy for you but we, as a society, need a little less passion and a little more common sense about food. Tradition and authenticity have translated in nationwide obesity and the associated illnesses. Get away from the TV (and the stove and the table) and get passionate about that treadmill. Take your dog for a run. Find a softball league. Eat an apple.

The most annoying phrase on FoodTv is Emeril La GasBag's BAM! (And what is with that stupid band in the kitchen?) I've watched only one or two of his shows, but found them too annoying. And then Crest, in their stupidity, had him screaming BAM for their flavored toothpaste. I now use Colgate.

Don't ya think it's a natural thing to say after tasting something delicious. She's an awesome cook. If being annoyed after Rachels phrases is the worst thing that happens to you, you've had a good day

Of all, I think stoup pisses me off the most. "Good to go, You guys, garbage bowl and her overall annoying voice just gets my goat. I change the channel as soon as she appears; don't watch her shows and try to avoid anything that shows her speaking.
And when did advertisers decide that she speaks for all Americans or is the girl next door? I'm ready to stop drinking Duncan Donuts coffee and eating Ritz because she's the spokesperson.
