Almost a year ago, we made some confessions. Sometimes, we're just so lazy on a weekend night that we just want to order-in, and not just order-in, but go the way of The Nasty and order-in pizza from one of "those" chain places. Yes, we order pizza from Papa John's, and not only do we get pizza, but we get buffalo wings, breadsticks, and maybe because we haven't gone to the market in three weeks, we have to throw in a couple of 2 liters of soda. The worst of it? We're sooo lazy, we won't even get up from our desks to call the order in, we just do it online from our laptops.
For almost a month now, Papa John's has made it even easier to get your breadsticks all up in a water-and-garlic-powder "sauce" that you shaelessly take down like a shot of vodka by accepting orders by text message. All 2,600 Papa John's restaurants are in on the racket.
Yes, we know you can't believe the convenience either!

There is a occasional messup when the fax doesnt go through but nothing is perfect. Oh, by the way , most restaurants use a liquid butter substitute, but it still tastes great!

There were maybe 4 shreds of mushrooms, the sauce was tasteless, the cheese was like old bubble gum and it was ice cold upon delivery that was 30 minutes late. Go ahead--make it easier to order it. Won't make any difference to me--I'll never buy from them again.

i work at Papa John's and the pizza we send out is the PERFECT pizza, no pizza leaves our store without being checked and rechecked. if your order was as bad as you claim it was then you should have called the manager and complained, but since you didnt mention that you did...maybe it was little sleazers or pizza slut you ordered from.

They are called Whirl or Phase and you can't buy them at your local grocers, only restaurant food and supply places. Phase has no trans fats either, you can get it at Gordon Food Services Market Place.

You can go to Wal-Mart and get a frozen pizza for half the price, and most of the time it tastes much better as well. My favorite is Chef Boyardee pizza. If you have never tried one you should. The pizza comes as a kit in a box, usually on the spaghetti sauce aisle. The crust and sauce is incredible and you can personalize the toppings to make the pizza uniquely your own. It is also a great way to get the kids involved in cooking dinner.

Get off your butt and go out. Plus you will burn up a few calories going there and you can eat more pizza.

In addition, they run a "nationwide" type commercial, so consumers don't really know WHAT state they're in, and what state they're not.... nor does their website tell you. You have to hunt to find them. As I said, Regina Pizzeria is without a doubt the best I've ever had. I used to come home on leave from the Marines just so I could go there. Papa John's has a lot to live up to in Boston if they want to beat them...... and I KNOW where the Regina is........ I don't have to search.

I work at a PJ's restaurant (been in pizza biz for over five years), and I really like the online ordering service, despite the few glitches that they need to fix. It's been a frustrating but necessary step in the process to take orders from people with low blood sugar over bad phone lines, with lots of background noise at both ends. With online ordering, it just pops up on our computer screens, and we make it and send it out to you!
