Almost a year ago, we made some confessions. Sometimes, we're just so lazy on a weekend night that we just want to order-in, and not just order-in, but go the way of The Nasty and order-in pizza from one of "those" chain places. Yes, we order pizza from Papa John's, and not only do we get pizza, but we get buffalo wings, breadsticks, and maybe because we haven't gone to the market in three weeks, we have to throw in a couple of 2 liters of soda. The worst of it? We're sooo lazy, we won't even get up from our desks to call the order in, we just do it online from our laptops.
For almost a month now, Papa John's has made it even easier to get your breadsticks all up in a water-and-garlic-powder "sauce" that you shaelessly take down like a shot of vodka by accepting orders by text message. All 2,600 Papa John's restaurants are in on the racket.
Yes, we know you can't believe the convenience either!

their garlic sauce is water and powder? I know their garlic butter stuff is apparently butter and ... butter, and some more butter, and extra butter. or is it really just fake crap?

Now you dont have to play World Of Warcraft to do little more than lift a finger to order a pie.
What is that I hear? The cheering of millions of lazy Americans as they furiosly text their hunger away? Or is that their inseams screaming in horror?

Instead of being anal about this and calling everyone lazy, have any of you ever thought the true advantage of being about to text order? What if you were Deaf? You hearies can order your pizza on your way home while stuck in traffic. Deaf do not have that option so I think this is GREAT of Papa John's!

So what else is new? Pizza Hut also takes online orders and many others you can fax an order in.

What difference does it make how you order delivery pizza - phone...email...text? As long as it arrives fresh, hot and on time, who cares?

But who wants cold, tastless. rubbery pizza? We ordered Papa Johns last week, and it was awful. Ordered a medium with 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 mushroom. There were maybe 4 shreds of mushrooms, the sauce was tasteless, the cheese was like old bubble gum and it was ice cold upon delivery that was 30 minutes late. Go ahead--make it easier to order it. Won't make any difference to me--I'll never buy from them again.

Pick your pizza as you wish. Papa John's is successful. Is there something else, just as mundane, to talk about?

We have become so technologized (is that a word) that we don't do anything th old fashion way anymore. Did anyone hear about the fact that they are testing using your cellphone as a boarding ticket at the airport. They email your ticket to your cell phone and when you arrive they scan your cell phone at the gate and then you board.
I am guilty of the lazy way out. I get frustrated with companies who do not have online store, bill pay and online food order. It urks me when I can't do thing either online or on the cell phone. I ordered pizza online last night because I didn't feel like going out to brave the snow here in the midwest. I am glad I did because today we are kind of snowed in.
Mmm... nothing like day old pizza.

Whatever their garlic butter is it sure is fattening as hell and I can't stop eating it. It must have some type of addictive additive in it.

Chain pizza is equal to frozen at best. Chicago pizza ( thin not that deep dish crap...it's not pizza) is the best. Every town has a dozen small dilivery pizza places that are better then the chains

I dont' mean to go all, america is getting obese, but how lazy can we get? Text messaging orders. How hard is it too stand up. I mean you're gonna have to pick up the phone ot text anyways so you might as well use it to call.

Been ordering Papa John's online for sometime now; a lot easier than trying to phone it in when their phone is either busy or the hold time is 10 minutes or more. I can also pay for the pizza and add the tip online.
Never had a bad pizza from them or bad service when I've ordered online.
