Happy National Fast Food Day!

friesI'm really not sure what to say about this particular food holiday. I mean, in America, isn't every day National Fast Food Day?

So...how to celebrate this holiday? I can't really link to any recipes, but maybe you can go to McDonald's or Burger King for lunch? Or if you'd like to take the opposite route, maybe rent Morgan Spurlock's SuperSize Me.

I have to admit that the other night, after getting out of a Police concert and finding the only thing open nearby was a McDonald's, I bought two large fries and two small Diet Cokes. And at 11:15 at night, after I hadn't eaten a thing all day, I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life.

I can totally understand people's infatuation with certain fast food chains for certain reasons (i.e. you liking McDonald's fries), but speaking as a person tried to frequent places that have the best of whatever food they are serving, I have to say out of all the fast food restaurants, McDonald's has the worst fries. Of course this is just my opinion, but as far as fries go, I enjoy the more "potatoey", if you willl, texture of Wendy's fries. Though after having lived in the south (I'm originally from and currently reside in South Jersey), there are more choices than the big three and most have better and fresher ingredients.

If I'm in the south, I will probably either hit Checkers or Sonic's...there's no real need to go to the other ones when you can get such fresh and tasty food at these two...I'd like to hear others opinions as well...where do you all enjoy to go? Like I said, in South Jersey, it's Wendy's (Spicy Chicken Meal, Biggie Sized with a Chocolate Frostie, side note: Vanilla Frosties are both gross and a blasphemy)

I also like taco bell...but taco bell just seems GROSS to me. I always feel like it's some dirty secret saying I like that almost best out of all fast food.

Not that we get him fast food that often, mind you. Except for long car trips on the NY State Thurway, we probably go fast food once a month.
