Wow, this quiz over at Mental Floss sure brought back a lot of memories. Freakies Cereal!
The quiz tests your knowledge of breakfast cereals. The questions range from fairly easy (what's on top of the Quisp alien's head?) to outrageously difficult (how many holes appear in a piece of Honeycomb cereal?). But it's a blast from the past for cereal fans or people of a certain age. You'll also find out what happened to Mikey from the Life cereal ad in the 70s and which cereal is 50% sugar.
For the record, I got 12 out of 20 correct.

Quisps taste almost exactly like King Vitaman (which tastes almost the same as Cap'n Crunch); he's a martian, and years ago, the company had two cereals that WERE exactly the same taste but different shapes, Quisp and Quake. They held a contest (great way to generate publicity), and Quake, some kind of space cowboy, was voted "off the island" and thus only Quisp remains (I don't even know if it still exists, actually). More than you wanted to know?

There is someone in this world that remembers Quisp and Quake, they did taste exactly alike, and they were my favorite wayyyyy back then. I have asked 100's of people thru out the years if anyone every remembers those 2 cereals, I think 2 people said yes. Sorta like the TV show HR PuffnStuff, no one remembers it either

We've seen retro commercials and best of shows featuring commercials. The rabbit finally getting Trix is one I'd like to see again. By the way, my guess work got me 13 out of 20.

I don't mean to blame it on anyone else, but I was at the computer, reading the questions aloud and my husband told me he was "sure" that the rooster's name was "Sunny," even though I thought it was Cornelius. lol. Along, with a bunch of other questions that I would have got right. Oh well. I got 7 out of 20 correct, even though I think I would have done better if I listened to my own gut instincts. I still love my husband though lol.

By the way, what the hell is Colon Blow? Disgusting name but I thought it was funny as hell and I'm still laughing about it. My family and I love to crack on each other and that's a perfect 2 words to make a wise ass remark to my Nephew LOL Have a Great Day All & Have a Better Day Tommorow!

Sigh. Cereal is the perfect food.
PS Yes HR Pufnstuf had Witchy Poo and I can still recall her singing a song about "Oranges poranges, who says, there ain't no rhyme for oranges!" (See this is the stuff my brain likes to retain, not annoying trivial things like multiplication tables)

My family, 5 bots and 1 girl, grew up in the early 60's and saw some cereals NOBODY remembers. I remember the first time a company tried dried fruit in a cereal. I remember my mom sending away for EVERYTHING that came in a cereal box, cups, bowls and spoons. She even sent away for model airplanes and Mattels Hotwheels, collectable chromed verions of 4 cars of the early 60's, Barracuda, Mustang, Camaro and something else. I could never find them in a collectable catalog and must be worth a mint. Thought I would share. PS> I have few of my real teeth left due to the high suger content in cereals of that period

Quisp are AWESOME!! they no longer put them on the store shelves but you can buy them online at quisp.com for an unheard of price (rip off) I used to eat them dry right out of the box as a kid in the 60's and early 70's I couldn't shove them into my mouth fast enough... I wish the grocery stores would bring them back!! I would buy them!!
