Pot pies and spinach are one thing, but this is pizza we're talking about!
General Mills is recalling 5 million boxes of its Tostino's and Jeno's frozen pepperoni pizzas because of possible E. coli. The pepperoni actually came from a third party. The recall is for pepperoni pizzas produced since July. So far, 21 cases of illness have been reported. Four of the customers actually have some sort of kidney failure (!), but no E. coli has been officially found at the General Mills plant.
Here is the info on the recall.

Actually, I'm kind of bummed that I have to throw them out. They were on sale for $0.79 last week and I bought a bunch of them.

This type of irresponsible blogging is what costs companies money! I had to check into this because we buy both Totinos pizzas (for me and my wife and daughter) and Totinos pizza rolls for my 5 year old. Imagine my shock when I thought I had already read all I needed to know about the recall and then see you graphic displaying the pizza rolls! I hope in the future that you can find a way to be more accurate in your log placement or in the event of not having the right or perfect graphic DON'T USE ONE.

The pizzas ARE supposed to be cooked at around 425 degrees F for about 10-12 minutes, but the media outlets are receiving reports that people that have gotten sick are heating these pizzas for too short of a time (less than 10 minutes) or at the wrong temperature (less than 425 degrees F) or in the microwave (with uneven cooking). Foods cooked to 160 degrees internal temperature will kill the E coli. It is ALWAYS important to cook your food to the proper temperatures, don't cross contaminate, and follow label directions.

He is feeling fine, but come on. Are people now intentionally poisoning our food supply? Much more of these recalls and I'm really going to have to think so.
