It seems like every I turn around these days, there's another food recall being issued. Tonight it's coming from Campbell's Soup Company. They are voluntarily recalling more than 72,000 cans of their Chunky Baked Potato with Cheddar & Bacon Bits Soup because they may contain small pieces of plastic that run a choking and health risk. Three people have reported small injuries around the mouth from consuming this soup. Consumers who purchased the Chunky Baked Potato with Cheddar & Bacon Bits soup with the can code JUL 08 2009 07097 are advised to return the product to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or refund.

What a surprise when I called Campbells customer line and they told me they would send me a return envelope to put the material in and send me some coupons. Woop dee dop I got $10 worth of Coupons and sent them the evidence. How the hell does a knot of wood end up in soup? I do not know and neither do they. I am not the type to sue like most of the scumbags out here today but there are many who do. Companies need to be more dilligent in checking for contaminants.

A lot of you just come on here to spew your thoughtless rhetoric in hopes that one day, you might contribute something to a world that doesn't even know you exsist. Throwing your little one liner puns about soup. Mmm Mmm....SHUT IT. Why don't you all just go for some Campbells tonight?

I love the way everytime a food company has a problem/recall, they suggest returning the product to the store for a refund... we had one of the recalled peanut butter jars, and we KEPT it... screw the $3... if one of us got sick, we wanted to keep it for evidence/proof...

Just one question: Is it unreasonable to expect and ask the folks who illegally enter the U.S. to stay in their own country and fight/die for the rights they DEMAND when they come here? My grandfather, uncles and brother all had to fight and die for the privileges available here. Why should I be happy for someone who steals into my country but is too coward to speak up for what is wanted in his/her own native land???

I think now days food can not be trusted, the problem is most of these companies all they want is production not caring how the food is prepared as long as they get the numbers out ....I think it's so sad what this country has become, all they care is the profit not the health of consumers,, let all this be an eyes opening for all of us, stop the imports from China, read labels when we bring products home to our families, and most of all start cooking more!!!! instead buying all these premade horrible foods that slowley is killing us..

Tired of illegals coming into our country and using their newborns as anchors. They are not coming in with guns... but they are invading our country using Americans empathy and tolerance. This invation is overwhelming and frustrating to MANY Americans. PLEASE write and email your local congressman and stand against this horrible invasion. Don't turn a blinds eye any longer. Something must be done NOW! As a high paying tax payer and hard working business owner, I refuse to see our country sucked dry by illegal aliens. HOW DARE THEY!!! GO HOME PEOPLE!!! WORK ON FIXING YOUR OWN COUNTRY! YOU ARE NOT WANTED HERE! Oh, and I'm about to open up a can of Campbell's Select Chicken with Egg Noodles. Wish me luck!

The real problem as I see it is we should be making delicious homemade REAL soups from scratch instead of reaching for something on a shelf filled with crappy additives and who-knows-what and lacks taste. That way we can control what goes into our soups and our bodies. Nothing is easier/faster than making soup for godzilla's sake. Who wants their tinned stuff anyway when you can fry some pieces of bacon and onion in olive oil, dice a couple of potatos, add herbs, salt and pepper and cover with water and simmer til til potatoes are tender, then stir in some cream?
