The Oreo Pizza Mustache

Domino's logoYes, I know it sounds like the name of some psychedelic band from the 60s, but it's actually the concept behind a new TV commercial from Domino's. If you haven't heard, they have a new dessert on the menu, the Oreo Pizza. It's a big dessert shaped like a pizza, only with so many Oreos on it that you get a mustache when you eat it.

Is it me or is the commercial rather ...off-putting? Take a look after the jump and see what you think.

Personally, I think the commercial, to me, makes the pizza sound disgusting (or more disgusting...it actually, scarily, sounds like it might be a little bit good though).

What's really disturbing is that high level execs approved that ad.

And should we wonder why America is so fat? I like Oreos as much as the next person but see that makes me want to throw up.

I've had the Domino's Oreo pizza and it's like one big Oreo cookie...simply awesome and a bit indulgent which makes it even better! The tv ad is funny and perfect for the audience it targets. Can't wait until it goes national and available in Chicago.

I laugh every time this commercial comes on the television.

As for the Oreo Toupee, I don't know many people that would smash Oreos on their head, but I'm sure some one out there has found it pleasurable.

I think that on some level it pushes the ....HAIR IN FOOD....button. I have two teen-age sons and if ANYONE could actually find this commercial to be...hmmm..inticing it would be a teen age boy. They both consider it "nasty". That's the problem with it, it's nasty (the commercial). It brings two mental pictures to my mind 1) rolling ones face in the dish. 2) and more distrubing, shaving this food item on to MY SERVING DISH!!

There is nothing offensive about it. They don't need to sell Oreo Cookie Pizzas, because an Oreo Cookie Pizza sells itself! The commercial is about humor and nothing more. Insolent fools!!

The Oreo Pizza sells itself? Please! That doesn't make any sense. Dominos sells this dessert pizza because hey, Oreos sell, pizzas sell, so LET'S COMBINE THEM TOGETHER AS A DESSERT PIZZA!

This commercial is a take off of one of the milk and cookies moustache gags. Some find it humorous, others find it disgusting. I don't find it humorous...

Hey Meeper, if you're so smart and you think the Oreo pizza is so great, why don't you try one? :)

What fatso, asshole came up with this pie? And why did the commercial have to make me vomit? The commercial should have given some excuses as to why this decadent (sp?) disgusting, frosting covered pizza is needed at all. I hate this. There ought to be a law. Food as a business is a dangerous thing. Try their new cardboard pizza covered in plastic and salt (contains lard).
