An online community for bakers

Logo for Bake SpaceIf you are a baker, looking for an online community that is full-up of other bakers, then you might want to check out Bake Space. As the name indicates, it's sort of like myspace for people who like to create with flour, eggs, butter and sugar (to name a few baking ingredients). You can make friends on Bake Space, post your recipes (and it doesn't seem to be restricted to dessert recipes) and browse the recipe that other people have posted. I've only poked around a little, but it seems to be a good way of interacting with a community of other cooks and finding recipes that are tried and true.

I actually got rid of all my cookbooks; I didn't need them anymore. Plus with 3900+ dessert recipes how can you go wrong? :-)

Babette (the founder)and her team are always finding ways to make it better, involving the members by asking for their input on suggestions and also by involving members with games and promotions. The friends you make there are wonderful and the recipes sound delicious! So come on over and visit us, you'll be glad you did! Debbie :)

I also joined grouprecipes, but I just don't get the welcoming feel I get from BakeSpace, Babette has personally helped me with so many different things, her personal involvement with the site is one of the things that makes it so great. The forums are my favorite part of the place. The interaction among the people there is so friendly. A bunch of us came over from Taste of Home, where it has become so so unfriendly and hard to navigate and NO ONE cares about their website at all. Anyway, BakeSpace is a great place for recipes and making friends!
