This is some of the best food TV I've seen recently (the player is embedded after the jump). It's a nicely edited clip of Christopher Walken preparing roasted chicken and pears. He shares cooking tips, shows off his upright roaster and seems totally and completely comfortable in the kitchen. Clocking in at just more than three minutes long, it is a good example of how little preparation is needed to make a good meal, even one fit for a star.
How nice to see Mr. Walken acting normal and not like some crazed wacko as he does in so many of his movies. Nice chicken, too. Was it "chicken ala pear" or pear ala chicken?"
It's a neat looking recipe. I only hope that they edited out him washing his hands before handling the salt and pepper containers. He's all over with the hands! LOL! And the cat on the counter! AAAAHHH!
LOL.I was thinking about the handwashing thing the whole time. I do it so much while I am coooking eveb with raw veggies! im going to invest in tongs, I swear~Too funny but not really if one gets sick
thought i was goin crazy for a minute .........whos talking??????????? Then there he was.......Mr. Chicken. Maybe all the salt will prevent something as well as season the bird!
Delightful! A major star of stage and screen happily being domestic. Right down to the kitty. I'm going to cook this - my hubby loves pears. I'm a fan of Walken and even more so now.
i love chris walken.he is a very unique and cool dude.and a superb actor. i would love to meet that dude and drink a brew with him.his oscar winning role in "deerhunter" was a masterpiece. and he can dance like fred astaire!!!
Christopher Walken can do no wrong by me. He sings, dances, does Broadway theatre, an actor with an OSCAR who can do drama and comedy and he can cook! Would love to have him in my kitchen anytime. How many of you can say that!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pat a female even though it says mrclancey (belongs to my deceased husband - who could COOK in my book!

Tip of the Day
December may have peppermint bark, but have you thought to incorporate the taste of autumn into white chocolate with a rich pumpkin swirl?
