We at Slashfood absolutely love movies and food, whether it's a quiet night in with take-out and a DVD, a date night out in a restaurant followed by a movie, matching food to movies, movies about food, or talking about foods that might come up in movies.
Premiere.com also like food movies, since this year, there are at least three movies that involve it: Keri Russell in Waitress, the Pixar film Ratatouille that has every good foodie clamoring for eggplant, zucchini, and tomatoes, and No Reservations, the movie that came out this past weekend. In honor of these food movies, Premiere.com lists the 20 Most Mouth-watering Movie Moments, which I'm re-printing here (after the jump). Your favorite food movie or food scene in a movie not listed? Tell us!
- Babette's Feast
- Big Night
- A Christmas Story
- Soul Food
- Eat Drink Man Woman
- Fatso
- Fried Green Tomatoes
- Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle
- In Her Shoes
- Like Water for Chocolate
- Marie Antoinette
- Mostly Martha
- My Best Friend's Wedding (my favorite on this list!)
- Off the Menu: The Last Days of Chasen's
- Spanglish
- Tampopo
- Tom Jones
- Vatel
- Volver
- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Spanglish and Tampopo are way up there on my list, but here are a few more:
Ulee's Gold: Oh that sweet honey.
Lady and the Tramp: You know the scene.
Sideways: There are a few good mouthwatering moments, but the best is when Miles and Maya are on Stephanie's back porch, just TALKING about why they like wine. Mmmmmm.
The Sandlot: When Smalls learns to make smores.

No Reservatios is a remake of Mostly Martha and I like the foreign film better. I havn't seen No Reservations, and probably won't due to the hype. I'll wait for it come out on DVD soon. Check out
Mostly Martha, though, it's worth read the
subtitles.

I'm hesitant to suggest this one because it is definitely not for kids, but what about "9 1/2 Weeks"? Strawberries!

How the hell did they leave out Queen Latifah in Last Holiday? That entire movie was full of food goodness.
